World War I Battles Project
You will be conducting research on some of the deadliest and most costly battles from World War I. Key aspects to note:
You must fill out the charts, or write on your own paper, for each of the following battles ( Verdun, Somme and Ypres aka: Passchendaele). You can note the information in bullet point format, but please provide complete descriptions not a single bullet point for every question. The links below are separated by each battle and provide all the necessary information needed to complete each chart. Please use each of the links as they provide additional facts and explanations needed to completely answer each question.
- where the battle occurred,
- what led to its occurrence,
- battle conditions, such as the weather.
- who was involved,
- how many casualties,
- types of weapons used,
- the end result of the war (who "won" the battle and its effect on everything around it, including civilians).
